Sharon Osbourne is our winner of this year's X Factor!

It's been one of the craziest years for X Factor in its history for all sorts of reasons.

We've had contestants falling out over uncooked chicken at the auditions stage, people swearing when they get through to the next live show and of course... Honey G. Need I say more on that front?!

But one woman more than any has made this series so special, our star of X Factor 2016.

No other than the return of Mrs O herself.

X Factor is always as mad as a box of frogs but more so than this year. The return of Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger, undoubtedly three of the most bonkers judges to have ever graced the panel, meant that the show was always going to be one hell of a crazy year and we weren't disappointed.

As lovely as youngsters Nick Grimshaw, Rita Ora and Cheryl Cole were, we all know X Factor has long passed the stage of being a credible music show and is instead more of a musical circus that lasts an hour and a half each weekend for the past 4 months of every year. Sharon Osbourne fits the brief to a tee and she's helped to make this year one of the most memorable in the shows history.

Trending on Twitter almost every week for her mistakes, sure it'd be even to call it 'unprofessional' behaviour shown by Mrs O but isn't that exactly what we want and expect from her?

Wouldn't we bored without the possibility that she's necked a few whiskies in the dressing room before making it on stage?

She's kept us laughing in almost every live show so far, from forgetting the names of her own acts, forgetting which line she was meant to read next and... well, generally just forgetting everything about the premise of the show seemingly.

But it's exactly these off the cuff moments that have saved X Factor this year. In a year where everything feels so contrived, from the desperate standing ovations to keep Honey G around for the headlines each and every week, to the insistence of keeping poor Emily doing drawn out John Lewis ready ballads in spite of advice to do otherwise by every judge on the panel.

Here's just a few reasons why we love having her back this year:

Sharon forgets who she's introducing:

Her fellow judges are more than aware of how easy it is to confuse poor Sharon and as you can see in this clip, Simon took advantage of this to try and embarrass his fellow judge.

When it came to introducing her next act ahead of the second live show, it became obvious that she wasn't prepared at all which prompted Simon to try and trick Sharon into introducing one of her other acts Saara Aalto.

Hook, line and sinker. Clearly flustered and trying to recover from forgetting her cue, Sharon introduced Saara instead of Relley resulting in fits of laughter from all the judges around her. As ever, she took it in good sport and this is what we love about her.

Norway? Finland? She also forgets where her own act is FROM:

It all started going wrong in the first live show when Twitter was ablaze with comments suspecting that Sharon might be a bit drunk and this is probably the finest example of why.

Yet again cocking it up in the introduction of her acts, her judges throw her off guard again but this time when she recovers, she says that her act Saara Aalto is from NORWAY. Incorrect. Finland would be the right answer as Nicole, Simon and Louis quickly correct her.

Many criticised her, as she later forgot Saara's name ahead of a sing off. We like to think she does care about her acts and is just easily confused but with Sharon, we really have no idea how her brain works!

Did she swear on live TV?!

This one is up for debate as to whether she actually swore but it's another fine example of Sharon's madness!

Yet again, it was that dreaded introduction that Sharon so clearly finds hard to grasp, as a flustered Osbourne ended up blurting out either "stop it" or "fuck it" thinking that the cameras had stopped rolling.

The judges were once again teasing her for not remembering the name of 'My Heart Will Go On' from Titanic and this time she reacted, in true Mrs O style - we're surprised there wasn't a glass of water thrown!

And with the final of X Factor taking place this coming Saturday, we're hoping for a few more cock ups to give us reason to laugh with her one more time - cheers Sharon, you've made this series a great one for us!
