Liam and Cheryl Finally Reveal Their Baby Name

Cheryl and Liam have been super-secretive about their baby's new name. The couple reportedly spent a week "getting to know" their tot before making the hard decision of what to name the bundle of joy.

We can reveal that they have chosen to name their baby boy Bear. The five-week-old baby will also take the surname of the One Direction star, leaving the full name at Bear Payne.

Hmmm. While the baby's name slightly sounds like a slang term for being in a lot of pain, we also can't help but associate the name with a certain Mr Stephen Bear.

A source told the Sun: "Cheryl and Liam wanted to get to know their baby before deciding on a name.

“They spent over a week getting to know him first before deciding. They wanted to get to know him before they decided on the name.

“They love their little baby Bear Payne and are truly over the moon and loving being parents for the first time together.”

Although we're very happy for the couple, we can't help but feel Cheryl and Liam have bought into the very "celebrity" concept of naming their kid a ridiculous name. What about Bear being called out at school? What about the odd, animalistic connotations? What about the association with one of the vilest men in the UK?

But regardless of whether you think it's a joke of a name or it's actually pretty cute, one thing we can all agree on is that we are SOOO glad the suspense is over.
