What are the worst awkward chat show arguments to ever be aired?
Television chat shows have been around for decades, and some of the very best TV interviews in history have been produced on them.
We're thinking Tom Cruise on Oprah, confessing his love for Katie Holmes by jumping up and down on the sofa, Drew Barrymore flashing David Letterman in 1995, and The Bee Gees storming off stage when called 'tossers' by Clive Anderson back in the 70's.
However, bringing it back to more modern times, a bigger, and better, TV argument took place on Monday morning between two of the hottest celebs of the moment.
After her stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house, TV personality and house-cleaner, Kim Woodburn made a guest appearance on ITV's This Morning, and caused a little bit of a stir...
Continuing the argumentative attitude which she portrayed in the CBB house, Kim flew off the handle claiming that show host, Phillip Schofield was "bullying" her just like her CBB housemates had done before. This all happened as fellow host Holly Willoughby looked on in amusement and what looked like utter shock.
Once the Kim Vs. Phillip saga had unfolded, fans and viewers were left truly gobsmacked, and here at Spill The Tea, we were equally as shocked too. The whole drama got us thinking; what are our favourite, and most awkward, chat show arguments ever?
Find out below...
Kim Woodburn Vs. Phillip Schofield
ITV This Morning
This has to be one of 2017's best moments so far. We can't even imagine what it was like to be in the studio while this went down, we just wish we were there! Kim didn't mince her words, and we don't know how Phillip kept so calm and collected...@Schofe Thank you for one of the best interviews I've ever seen this morning on @thismorning #TVGOLD— elliottandrews (@elliottandrews) 6 February 2017
Katie Price Vs. Her Children
ITV Lose Women
When Katie's two young children, Princess and Junior, made a special appearance on ITV's Lose Women, things got a little heated. Debating what age young kids should be able to wear makeup, and whether it is right to do so, Katie's kids had very different ideas, and Katie didn't hold back either. In fairness, we love the passion that both Katie, and her children show in this interview, and Katie must be a brilliant mother to bring up two kids as smart as these two!
Jacqueline Jossa Vs. Lose Women Panel
ITV Loose Women
When Eastenders star Jacqueline Jossa appeared on Lose Women back in 2016, viewers we left feeling very awkward indeed when Jacqueline got very defensive over her beau Dan Osbourne, and daughter Ella. Lose Women fans took to Twitter to discuss how awkward they found the whole segment, claiming that she seemed to be terribly hard work to interview. We don't know what to think, but it's a painful watch. Is it just me or was that interview hard work!? She seemed to have a right attitude. #loosewomen— Danielle Hardcastle (@DaniCooper10) 8 March 2016
Ross Vs. His Dad John
ITV Jeremy Kyle Show
Back in 2015, a distraught teenager appeared on the infamous Jeremy Kyle show accusing his own father of telling him he hopes his kidney transplant fails, and his dialysis "hurt him".Ross went onto the show to confront his long-absent father, John, of the accusation and for abandoning him and his mother when he was 5.
Ross suffers from an organ attacking disease and claimed that his dad had once said he hopes his transplant would fail - and his dialysis would hurt him. When Jeremy confronted a very angry John, he denied ever saying it - but later admitted he couldn't actually remember and could have been drunk at the time. Of course, in true Jezza K style, the whole thing descended into chaos!
