Why on Earth Did Jaden Smith Carry His Own Hair On The Met Gala Red Carpet?!

Everyone knows that the Met Gala is where celebrity fashionistas come out to play! You do not get into this event without wearing something utterly outstanding or gobsmacking'ly 'out-there', it's just the rules.

Some of our favourite looks were from Rihanna, Blake Lively and Janelle Monae.

However, there was one celeb who's outfit we were just not quite in love with...

Yep, that's right, Jaden Smith, son of Will Smith, really did walk the Met Gala red carpet carrying his own HAIR!

Wearing a black suit underneath a long coat, the rapper carried his blonde dreadlocks in his hands. 

Showing off his newly shaved head, the star seemed to be having a great time as he posed up a storm with the bizarre accessory.

When asked why he decided to take his hair along, Jaden replied that he would have preferred to have brought his sister, Willow Smith, but she was unavailable. 

"And since I couldn't bring my sister as a date, I brought my old hair," Jaden said.

It turns out Jaden shaved his head for the role in his upcoming film, Life of a Year, which also stars model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne.

Pairing his dreads with a snazzy (or gross, we can't decide) gold grill, we were not a fan of Jaden's look, but what are your thoughts?
