Blake Lively shuts down sexist reporter
Blake Lively was honoured at Variety's Power of Women on Friday. She was being celebrated for her work against child trafficking and pornography. However, whilst there a reporter decided to ask about Lively's choice of clothes rather than her charitable work and was shut down.
Obviously, Lively is a beautiful actress and amazing style icon and at any other time it would be totally acceptable to ask about her outfit. However, at an event that is recognising her efforts with the Child Rescue Coalition? A little bit inappropriate. And the actress was not impressed.
Lively said:"Come on, you want to talk about an outfit here, today? No way. Come on. Come on, we're about building women up. Come on, outfits? Would you ask a man that?
"You wouldn't ask a man what his power outfit is, I'm sorry. Like see, this is the moment that we become more aware and that we change."
We applaud you Blake Lively.

Obviously there is a time and a place to ask somebody about what they are wearing, which is exactly what the #AskHerMore movement is about - ask the women on the red carpet the same questions as the men. Treat them like intelligent human beings that are more than just a walking mannequin.Blake Lively popping off after someone asked her about fashion at #PowerOfWomen - "Are we really doing this?
