7 moments from Britain's Got Talent that left us SHOOK

It's time now that we continue looking at some of UK TV's biggest moments of recent times. And, with Britain's Got Talent starting a new series tonight, what better way to celebrate than looking at some of the moments that truly left us shook.

1. Susan Boyle

The ultimate shocker to end all shockers. We couldn't start this list any other way, could we?! Nobody, perhaps in the history of talent shows worldwide, has created such a hype off the back of a shocking performance.

Yes, SuBo, who had the crowd laughing at her, not with her, before her initial I Dreamed A Dream performance, definitely got the last laugh with this one. She came out of it with a standing ovation and a whole world of adoring fans at her feet.

2. Stavros Flatley

A chubby Cypriot dad and his chubby Cypriot son rock up on stage and all you can think is "what the hell is this gonna be?" and that is somehow the same reaction that you feel when you've finished watching. But, in a completely different way as these guys had us smiling from start to finish.

In a ridiculously funny routine poking fun at Michael Flatley's 'Riverdance', it was a moment of comedy gold that could never be replicated. Not to mention, we loved the father & son relationship but nobody could've predicted this audition would go down SO well.

3. THAT egg throwing girl

While every other shocking moment in this list was a performance that got us talking, this was a shocker for all of the wrong reasons. It definitely wasn't planned and it's fair to say Simon Cowell ended up with egg on his face for this one.

During Richard and Adam's final performance in 2013, violinist Natalie Holt rose from her seat in the orchestra and began pelting eggs at the judges with a demonic smile on her face. It turns out that it was a retaliation for not getting through the show when they auditioned before and well, she certainly did it in style, that's for sure.

4. Alex Magala and the swords

Get ready to hide behind your hands, because if you've never seen this one before, you're sure to be wincing. This Moldovan swordsman took danger to a level we've never seen before in his final performance (following on from two performances prior to this which were pretty brave in itself).

Forget the swords, Alex was now bringing chainsaws to the stage. Plummeting from the top of a pole, handcuffed, we saw Magala fall right to the bottom where he was a mere centimetres away from hitting them. Truly incredible shocking stuff.

5. Jesse Jane McParland, isn't she so cute?

Sweet talking Irish 9 year old Jesse Jane had the entire crowd in the palm of her hands, responding with aww's when she walked on the stage. But that had completely changed within seconds of her performance.

With screams and swords, Jesse transformed into a fierce ninja warrior within the blink of an eye and left us stunned. For all the right reasons, however. Susan Boyle told us never to judge a book by its cover and apparently, that now extends to cute 9 year olds too!

6. Hollie Steel breaks down on live TV

And here's where it all goes wrong for the youngsters. We all love to see a cute little girl succeed but where it's not so fun is when it all comes tumbling down for them on live TV.

Sweetly singing Eidelweiss, it became apparent during the first chorus that Hollie was a bit little unsure of the words under the pressure of a live show. From there, it all fell apart, as she began to cry. Uncomfortable TV? For sure. But TV that you definitely couldn't tear yourself away from!

7. The incredible Attraction

Who knew that performing a routine to a song using simply shadows could be so moving? And it somehow continued to be so poignant and stunning right through to their winning performance.

But it was the initial performance that we simply can't forget - one of the most beautiful moments in Britain's Got Talent history and most certainly a moment that made us go "wow".
