10 TOWIE arguments that we can't get enough of...
It's Easter time and everyone loves a good trip down memory lane, so over this Bank Holiday, we'll be looking at and counting down some of the best moments in British TV over the past few years.
We're kicking off this Easter Friday with one hell of a treat. If you've been watching The Only Way Is Essex recently, you'll be gripped by the many angry faces of Megan McKenna and her furious arguments with ex-boyfriend Pete Wicks. She's not the only one to have got a little bit rowdy in Essex over the past few years however, so let's look at 10 TOWIE arguments that we can't get enough of!
1. Megan vs Pete (part 10000)
We're pretty sure we've seen more scenes of Megan & Pete arguing throughout their year-long relationship than we have of them happy. But, ever since their break-up, the tension has been turned up a several notches so you can be sure that mental Megan was about to rear her head once again.Megan had become increasingly frustrated with hearing rumours about Pete & Chloe Sims in the days following their break-up and when the two came face to face in the street, there were no shortage of expletives thrown between the two of them. A fiery Pete vs a fiery Megan was never going to end well really, was it?
2. Lucy vs Mario
There's nothing we like more than a good drink throw during our Reality TV arguments and this has to be one of the best. Lucy & Mario's relationship was well and truly over after several rumours about Mario's cheating had come to the surface. The pair weren't on the best of terms before this row but after Mario accused Lucy of sleeping with co-star Dan Osborne on the cast's trip of Marbella, all hell broke less. Mario couldn't help but snipe at Lucy as she walked past him, quipping "Another one night stand in Marbella?" - big mistake. At a white party. With red wine. Lucy gets one hell of a round of applause from us. We'll say no more and let the video do this wonderful moment justice.
3. Joey & Sam vs Lucy & Mario
Back when Lucy & Mario were happily engaged & in love, before a drop of red wine left Lucy's glass, they came head to head in couple wars with Joey Essex & Sam Faiers. It all kicked off at Lucy & Mario's engagement party after hearing that Sam was spreading rumours about the two of them. What initially started as a Sam & Lucy row, soon saw both of the lady's boyfriends jump to their defence and it all royally kicked off when Mario accused Sam of cheating on her boyfriend. Voices were raised, Sam repeatedly stated that "she ain't been Faces", a nightclub in Essex, while Joey did what he does best, speaking in riddles. In between calling Mario a "capri sun" and accusing him of "getting lemon", this is all just a bit bonkers and all the better for it.
4. Bobby, Vaz & Lauren P vs Gemma
If there's one woman who can handle three people jumping down her throat at once, it's "the G.C". From the second she walked over to best friends Vaz & Lauren, it was all guns blazing as the pair wanted rid of Gemma.
We're still not entirely sure what Vas's purpose in the show was, other than needlessly starting arguments with females, but it soon provoked Gemma to try and bring Bobby on board for protection. How wrong she was, as her best friend took issue with being dragged into the argument and seemingly being thrown under the bus. It all went from 0-100 in near enough 20 seconds and before long, drinks were being thrown off camera and the tears were rolling. This is the drama we LIVE FOR in TOWIE.
5. Fran & Georgia vs Grace
Grace's time on TOWIE was short lived but she certainly made a splash in this period, seeming to ruffle the feathers of almost every female in the cast. These three girls were once best friends but once Fran & Georgia caught wind of rumours (apparently the cause of every argument in Essex) that Grace was seeing her ex boyfriend whilst she also dated their friend Tom, questions were asked.
And where better place to question Grace than the dancefloor of a club? Grace was quick to criticise Fran & Georgia's friendship and loyalties and before long, she was shrieking loud enough for the entire club to hear. I'd suggest turning your headphones down a little bit for this one but as Grace bellows, "you love the drama"... and she's not wrong if she's aiming that at us.
6. Lauren G vs Mark and Sam
The original couple of The Only Way Is Essex had more ups and downs than any other couple in the history. Yes, even Megan & Pete. Their 10 year (yes, 10 years as Lauren will remind you in each and every episode of the first few series) relationship turned sour very early on in the show's life span which made for some frosty fights.
At Chloe Sims' wedding themed party (how appropriate), Mark attempted to have a calm conversation with Lauren after she's seen her ex kiss Sam Faiers in a bush at a party. Calm? Don't be so silly, this is TOWIE we're talking about. After going back and forth at one another, Lauren told Mark she wanted to "forgive him and forget him" and preceded to calling his date Sam "desperate". The two of them both left the table and walked away after much of a bust up and we'd probably do the same if we had Goodger rabbitting on in our ear for long enough.
7. Gemma vs Ferne
She's back again, Miss Gemma Collins and her calm demeanour, riling up anyone who stands in her way. This time, it was Ferne McCann and having watched the argument, we're not entirely sure why they were rowing other than for the fact Gemma felt that Ferne was rude to her in a taxi
It's all a bit trivial really and ends up with Ferne in tears and Gemma storming off which is pretty standard procedure for the show. But this argument is classic for one reason and one reason only.
"I can, I'm Gemma Collins, I'm 34, I've earned my divaship." And this is why we love Gemma.
8. Chloe S vs Elliot
The Wrights are notorious for indulging themselves in a bit of beef but they definitely picked the wrong girl to mess with when it came to tough cookie Chloe Sims. After a predictably explosive relationship, Elliot still wasn't done leaving Chloe to her own devices when he approached her at a club weeks after their split.
The couple tried and tried again to make it work but it wasn't to be and on this occasion, Chloe was sick to death of drama from the Wrights. Chloe soon became sick of the accusations and lost her temper with her patronising ex and hit the roof, repeatedly telling Elliot to "fuck off". I think he got the message in all of this noise.
9. Danni vs Verity
We've always loved Danni and the way she wears her heart on her sleeve and the way she dealt with Verity, who was on the show for all of one series, was pretty admirable. Following a night out where Verity had paraded herself all over Danni's ex James Lock in front of Danni herself, there was a clear tension. Shortly after, Verity and Pete Wicks began to see one another which led to Pete trying to clear the air - big mistake.
Danni was having none of it and reduced Verity to tears without even raising her voice once. We love it when somebody can stay completely calm in the face of trouble and Danni knew exactly how to deal with Verity who clearly felt that she would be able to make amends. Not quite and as soon as her back was turned, Danni referred to her as a "24 carat bitch" to Pete. Nice work.
10. Ricky vs Joey
You'd hardly think Joey Essex was capable of throwing a punch, just to look at him. Sweet and innocent on the surface, but evidently, when you get his back up, he doesn't take it lightly. When Ricky came into Joey's shop to speak to him, Essex clearly wasn't impressed that Ricky had been badmouthing him to girls, calling him "just a boy". Was Ricky about to apologise? Not quite, instead, he chose to belittle Joey even more, goading him for a fight.
Joey was just about ready to let it lie until Ricky picked a fight with Frankie Essex, Joey's sister. With that, Joey spun around like a tornado and flew at Ricky, resulting in a brawl outside of the shop. It was meant to be the opening of a new boutique, so I guess it killed two birds with one stone by bringing along some free entertainment. Good for you, Joey!
