Why Don't Celebrities Admit To Their Cosmetic Surgeries?

It's a time-old mystery that can never seem to be solved. Just why do so many celebrities deny that they've ever been under the cosmetic knife?

Tonnes of famous faces, or other body parts, are full of plastic and jelly, yet most would never admit to having a little nip here and a little tuck there.

Amidst the shock and awe of Kim Kardashian West's 'saggy' bum saga, which happened last week, here at Spill The Tea we've been thinking about why cosmetic surgery is seen to be such a taboo amongst celebs.

While us normal folk seem to have no problem in admitting that we've had lip fillers, boob jobs, botox and laser surgery, most celebrities would rather leave fans guessing as to where their new 34DD boobies have come from.

For example, lipgloss entrepreneur Kylie Jenner denied rumours about having lip fillers back in 2014, despite the dramatic change in the star's appearance; going from having wispy, thin lips, to an ample pout in a matter of weeks. Kylie finally admitted to undergoing many cosmetic procedures on her lips after her sister, Khloe Kardashian, urged her to stop lying.

While her other sister, Kim Kardashian West, has previously denied having any kind of cosmetic work done on her very famous derriere, despite many questioning the credibility of her ample bottom. Kim very famously conducted an X-Ray on her behind to show the world that her bum isn't 'fake', and a no-plastic-zone. Still, people weren't satisfied, claiming that the star must inject her bum with fat instead. Kim later admitted that she has had fat injected into her bum, to treat a skin condition that she suffers from...however, denied ever having cosmetic surgery to enlarge her buttocks for over 10 years.

The list doesn't end there. There are loads more celebrities who have changed their appearance over the years, yet claim that their new look isn't the result of going under the knife. Those amongst speculation are Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, and Jennifer Lopez to name a few.

So, why aren't they owning up? Well, it could be down to a number of things.

Perhaps they adore the attention they get from the endless speculation people cause? Or it may be because they feel embarrassed or even frightened to let the whole world know? Let's face it, the press wouldn't take too kindly to a celebrity admitting that they're 'fake'.

Who even knows? We just wish someone would take one for the team and be open with us!
