Chilling sex gang storyline set to hit the Corrie Cobbles
Corrie actress Lucy Fallon- who plays Bethany Platt in the ITV soap is set to star in a chilling storyline over the next coming months.
The plot will see Bethany dragged into a "nail-biting" sex exploitation scandal, after falling for dodgy newcomer Nathan.
Groomer Nathan has already set alarm bells ringing for Corrie fans, after creepily suggesting Bethany films her YouTube makeup tutorials in some clothes that "show off her figure."
Last weeks episode also showed early signs of sexual grooming, after Nathan dresses Bethany up and takes her to his flat, showcasing her in front of his ogling pals.
Corrie bosses told The Sun they "wouldn't be shying away from all the details", admitting that although the storyline is incredibly controversial its still an important topic to highlight.
With Corrie fans taking to twitter to already express their uncomfortable feelings towards the plot, we're sure the ITV bosses will be facing a heck of a load of backlash from viewers:

We totally get the issue is very sensitive and will upset viewers, but here at Spill The Tea we believe soaps like Corrie should be using their platform to educate people in this way: the storyline could raise some serious awareness and help families and young people spot the signs of sexual grooming.
We're sure not everyone is going to see it that way- but we'll leave that to the Corrie bosses...
