Emma Watson's feminism hypocrisy

Emma Watson has recently hit back at accusations that showing her breasts were anti-feminist. She posed for Vanity Fair in striking but beautiful images but, for some strange reason, people found ways to criticize a particular photo because it showed a little bit of boob.
However, she made very similar statements about BeyoncĂ© in the past, so should we condemn her hypocrisy about feminism?

I don't really see how anybody can think that showing a bit of skin is anti-feminist in any way at all, but the outrage at this photo got so bad that Watson had to speak out. Watson said: "Feminism is about giving women choice. Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with. It’s about freedom, it’s about liberation, it’s about equality. I really don’t know what my tits have to do with it. It’s very confusing. I’m confused. Most people are confused. No, I’m just always just quietly stunned."

Watson has a very valid point, in fact a big part of feminism is owning your sexuality, being able to wear whatever you want, as long as a woman (or man) is choosing to expose their body for a photo, then what is the issue? However, as much as I agree with everything Emma Watson was saying a bit of unfortunate history came back to haunt her which showed that she was being a little bit contradictory.

In 2013 BeyoncĂ© released a song called 'Flawless' which included a speech from feminist novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, called "We Should All Be Feminists". BeyoncĂ© was widely celebrated for speaking out about feminism and becoming more interested in politics and social issues. However, believe it or not, Emma Watson felt conflicted about BeyoncĂ©'s message.
Watson said for Wonderland: "As I was watching [the videos] I felt very conflicted, I felt her message felt very conflicted in the sense that on the one hand she is putting herself in a category of a feminist, but then the camera, it felt very male, such a male voyeuristic experience of her."

Obviously, people can grow and opinions can change but it is quite funny to sit back and watch the problematic Emma Watson get a taste of her own medicine. I mean if she wants to say that feminism shouldn't be used as a weapon against another woman, maybe she shouldn't have tried to use it against Beyoncé?

Either way, people need to begin to realise that women (celebrity or not) can wear whatever they want, for whatever they want, without being criticised or accused of being something else. It really isn't hard.
