Brad Pitt requests joint custody of his kids with Angelina Jolie

Everybody was so shocked when they heard that Brangelina were ending their two-year marriage.

Now, even more news has come from the situation - Brad Pitt has requested joint custody of his and Angelina Jolie's six children.

Jolie is seeking sole physical custody of their children.

This request from Brad was a response to Angelina ending their marriage.

Custody has always been a big topic of discussion in the couple's split after Pitt was investigated over an incident in mid-September. The couple agreed on temporary custody which allowed the actor to visit the children whilst the investigation was taking place, at Angelina's temporary home in Malibu.

Pitt's request to the judge states that "irreconcilable differences" were the reason the couple split, with no mention of a prenuptial.

So far, there have been no conclusions about why the couple have filed for divorce. Did Pitt physically or verbally abuse, Maddox, their oldest son? Are the allegations about Pitt's alleged drinking true? Is there something bigger that could affect any custody questions?

Divorce courts in California generally favour joint custody, but the investigation on Pitt could influence the decision. Either way, if Jolie and Pitt want to keep their ugly fight out of the public, that's completely fine, but the main interest will be the agreement over the kids, this agreement just does not seem to be close.
